MEET SYPHAX
My name is Abderrahim Gourar, though most people call me Syphax. I was born and raised in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Tamazight is my first language, and I also speak Arabic, French and English, so you can talk to me directly in whichever is easiest for you.

Photography gave me a reason to explore beyond home: villages I’d heard about, roads I hadn’t taken, places I wanted to see in a different light. Those trips are how I came to know the country I now show people, and I’ve been driving these roads for more than eight years.
Today I plan and drive private trips across Morocco for couples, families and small groups. You talk to me before you book, I drive the main route myself, and after the trip I share an album of photographs from our time on the road.
An air-conditioned van for your group
One air-conditioned van, comfortable for couples, families and small groups, with room for luggage on the multi-day routes. When you book, it’s reserved for your group for the whole trip.

A few things I try to stick to
I drive the road, not the clock
If somewhere's worth stopping for, we stop. The itinerary bends around what you actually want to see, not the other way round.
I tell you what's worth it
If a stop is touristy filler, I'll say so. You're paying for my honest read of the route, not a script.
One group, one trip
Whoever books gets the van and my full attention. No other guests, no other bookings squeezed into the same day.
If it's not working, we change it
Plans shift — weather, energy, a place that turns out better than expected. We adjust as we go, not just on paper beforehand.
Four languages, no interpreter
Tamazight is my first language. I also speak Darija, French and English, so you can talk to me directly.
More of the road, online
Photos and stories from between the routes.
Tell me when you're coming
Send me your dates and who's travelling. I'll reply myself, usually within a few hours.
